None at all.: With the advent of modern medicine and improvement of anesthesia, you have a greater chance to have a car wreck than having any problem from breast surgery.

Low risk: Although any surgery has inherent risks, including the risks of anesthesia, breast reduction and breast augmentation are both very common and safe surgeries. You should have a thorough history and physical exam before any surgery to ensure you are healthy enough to undergo surgery.

Not Very: Please understand that all operations have risks. The risks of these two operations are similar but different. The better question is what are the risks and alternatives to these operations. 400 letters is too small to go through all of that. Please speak with a plastic surgeon. They'll be able to go through all of this and more.

Very Safe: A well-trained surgeon with much experience in aesthetic breast surgery has a low complication rate. As with any procedure, the inherent risks are well-known. Your surgeon should be able to discuss the majority of anticipated risks with you prior to surgery. It is important for you to express your concerns with your surgeon to insure the best possible outcome.

Safe Operation.: Breast augmentation surgery is generally a very safe procedure as long as some guidelines are followed. Seek consultation with board-certified plastic surgeons who can demonstrate excellent safety history/record. Anesthesiology and surgery facility should also be considered. Both saline and silicone breast implants are “safe” but each have pros/cons associated with their use. Consultation helpful.

Breast reduction: All surgical procedures carry some risks. However the potential benefit should be weighed against the risk prior to determining a plan to move forward.

Safe, low-risk: It is very safe to get breast augmentation or breast reduction surgeries. If you go to a board certified plastic surgeon who does at least 100 of these procedures per year, you will be in good hands.
