I am an Indian with basic medical training from R.G.Kar Medical College and Hospital under Calcutta University,India.I left Calcutta and left for England where I spent training in Orthopedics in Bolton Royal Infirmary in Lancashire,General Surgery in Royal United Hospital in Bath and Bristol,Urology in Bath,Plastic surgey in Frenchay Hospital in Bristol and at Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle-upon-Tyne and Newcastle General Hospital.I acquired my F.C.R.C.S from Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and England.Then I did a Fellowship in Craniofacial Surgery at Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto and a Fellowship in Microsurgery and Hand Surgery at Royal Victoria Hospital at Melbourne,Australia,for one year each.
I arrived in Califonia,at UCLA as Chief of Research for two and a half year.I moved to Jackson ,Mississippi in 1982 to do a Residency in Plastic Surgery which I finished in 1984.I went in private pracyice for 2 years.In 1986,I was invitedby Dr.James D.Hardy,Chairman of Surgery and Dr.Norman Nelson of University of Mississippi Medical Center to take over the Division of Plastic Surgery.After spending 9 years at the University Medical Center I rose through the ranks to Professor and Chief of Plastic Surgery.In those 9 years I have trained several Plastic Surgeons,Medical students.Had a busy practice and have done significant amount of research.My area of research were Wounf Healing,Silicone Immunology,Fat Grafting,Muscle Transplantation,Effect of Ulraviolet Radiation and many more.Most of them are published in peer reviwed journal
I have been in solo private practice in Jackson since 1995.My main hospital association are St.Dominic's Hospita,Merrit's Womens Hospital,River Oaks Merrits Hospital,Baptist hospital.
Currently,I am an Adjunct Professor of Surgery,William CareyUniversity .
