Exercise such as: Tai chi or yoga, deep breathing techniques, socializing with friends all can help. Add to that medications and your anxiety should get much better.

Some options.: There a # of ways to address anxiety: cognitive behavioral therapy, behavior modification, individual psychotherapy, group psychotherapy, psychotropic medications, qi gong, tai chi, acupuncture, acupressure, homeopathy, meditation, yoga, exercise program or progressive muscle relaxation (to mention a few). Ways to address stress. Talk about feelings ; address problems. Don't avoid them. Aim for 7.

7.5 - 8 hours of sleep/ night. Daily physical activity is optimal in a green space. Eat healthfully. Cut out junk carbs, caffeine & alcohol (or moderate).

Make an apt: over the phone. Ask someone you trust to go with you since youre scared. The doctor psychiatrist or psychologist will ask questions and take a thorough history so they can understand what to recommend: medicine, therapy, support groups, exercise, coping skills etc. I hope this helps. Dont give up, there are so many doctors, one will be a great fit for you. Your health / happiness is worth it.

Encourage you to: Start w a medical evaluation. It may uncover underlying medical problems that need to be addressed. See a therapist cognitive behavioral therapy can be quite effective. Psych meds may be indicated. Aim for daily exercise, 8 hours of sleep per night & good nutrition w 5 servings of veggies & 4 of fruit per day. Try tai chi, yoga, qi gong, progressive muscle relaxation, deep breathing exercises >.
