A member asked:

Is there a drug compatable with tofranil (imipramine)?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes and no.: Tofranol (imipramine) is a trycyclic antidepressant. There are many medications one can take in conjunction with tofranil, however there are some medications that are absolutely contraindicated such as a monoamine oxidase inhibitor. Other medications can affect the blood levels of imipramine. Check with your physician or pharmacist prior to combining any medication with imipramine.
