Depends: The FDA defines a dangerous drug as any that require prescription for use. Some have more potential side effects, or danger associated than others. Imipramine if taken in a very high dose can cause a rhythm disturbance in the heart and result in sudden death. At low doses used for some issues it is rarely a problem.The proper use requires proper training and understanding of the drug.
