Not necessarily.: Most lumps and bumps we get are harmless. You might have a forming sebaceous cyst forming, or even the beginning of an abscess. Enlarged lymph nodes (from bacterial or viral infection) can feel like lumps. If it's not looking like an active bacterial infection or abscess - it's okay to wait 1-2 weeks to get it checked out by your doctor. Not something for the emergency room.
