Potentially: If by "nappy cream" you mean common diaper ointments. Zinc oxide has been demonstrated as a potentiator of wound healing, and is found in many diaper ointments. However, the sterility of some ointments designed for topical skin use cannot be guaranteed and could actually infect a wound with new bacteria.
