Toenail fungus: Toenail fungus is not treated with topical preparations. Toenail fungus treatment consists of taking oral medication. You will need to talk to your doc about that.

Pinky nails curling: If your pinky (baby) toenails are curling, they may not retain their normal pink & glossy appearance (they have fungus). Using fungus cream is not as effective as using an antifungal solution or lacquer, i.e. Mycocide, penlac, (ciclopirox) formula 3, genadur, fungifoam, & so on. Cutting your nails is appropriate, if they feel like coming off, it is b/c of the nails, not b/c of your cuttting.
