A member asked:

What's the normal response to systemic ischaemia from blood loss?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Variable: The body will try to compensate from extreme blood loss. First the heart rate will pick up(tachycardia). You may have sweating or diaphoresis, one may also become lightheaded and eventually collapse. This is the body's way of getting us supine to assist with distribution of blood flow. Fainting works.
