A member asked:

What can make blood flow return to normal in the arm/hand after ischemia?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Collaterals: Without a procedure such as a bypass or an angioplasty there are only two things that can do this. One is dissolution of a blood clot restoring normal blood flow and the other is developing collateral circulation around the obstructed artery . I assume this is not "spasm" which should last no more than minutes
