Ask your doctor: Usually we don't need thyroid tests every 6 week, rather 3 months is the typical. However, your doctor might have a reason to do it specifically on you so best thing to do is to ask him/her why a 6 weeks recheck is needed.

Thyroid levels: Usually because your doctor has you on medication or the levels are"borderline" . Most doctors check levels every 3 to 6 months.
