Why are critical care nurses so important?

Nurses: All doctors need nurses, to help out with patients, procedures, exams, scheduling, monitoring, and many other duties, especially in institutions and busy practices.

Patient care: Critical care nurses often have additional training and expertise in caring for acutely severely ill patients. Nurses in this field often use critical thinking skills to anticipate patient needs and communicate those needs to physicians and other members of the health care team. These nurses have special skills including certain procedures, titrating meds, and palliative care.

Critical care nurses: Critical care nurses are very important because they have a unique skill set to take care of patients who are so ill that they require support of their basic life functions. Some of these patients rely on mechanical ventilators to help them breath, dialysis machines to replace the function of their kidneys and powerful intravenous medications to support their heart and blood pressure.
