No data: Although many people want to believe this is preprogrammed into their system before birth, we have no evidence that this is a fact and no way to prove it either way. This group has a 70X higher risk of suicide than the general population and that supports the idea that this is an emotionally driven acquired identity. It will take time and research to define it better.
