Probably yes. : 7 cm is pretty large, a cyst this big could certainly cause pain. It could suddenly twist or burst, resulting in emergency surgery. Probably not a cancer. It could likely be removed using a laparoscope, resulting in small incisions. The sooner it is removed the better. See your doctor don't go to the er.

Ovarian cyst: A 7cm cyst is actually very big. Er is not the solution as they will not take it out. Call your ob/gyn and have her seen there.
