Nothing: Gout is an inflammatory process. Taking Ibuprofen may help but you really need a prescription for some gout specific medications.

Aleve (naproxen)...: I've used prescription narosyn/naproxen for gout attack for years. Aleve is a lower dose form which can sometimes give you a head start on treatment.
