Variable: Babies sleep anywhere from 8 to 20 hours in a 24 hour period. Some babies sleep in long blocks of time and some cat-nap. Your baby will pick her own schedule despite your attempts to put her on one.

Depends on the age: The number and length of naps depends on the age of a child from newborn to school age. Sorry i can't answer this without a specific age.
