Consolidation of : Sleep occurs between 1-4 mos. If you put him in his own crib, on his back, drowsy but awake & allow him to self-calm to fall asleep. Avoid sleep problems from swinging's being his "sleep association" by doing this before 5 mos. When "procedural memory" develops. Have a consistent bedtime: read, rock in low light & wipe out his mouth after his last feed.
