A member asked:

What are the best ways to get out of a depressive state?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Opposite actions: If we're talking about a rather brief state and not a depressive disorder (which really requires treatment by a professional), here are some suggestions, which are consistent with the principle of "opposite action": 1. Get moving (i.e., walking, exercising); 2. Count your blessings/appreciate; 3. Get together with 1 or more people; 4. Talk about their interests; 5. Set & work toward small goals.
