BAPS, Band Therapy: Using a rubber therapy band you can do inversion, eversion , plantar flexion and dorsi flexion against resistance with your foot and ankle. Physical therapists use a baps board to strengthen ankle.

Proprioceptive train: Therabands work well to work on strengthening. Balance boards/bosu balls, etc. Are great for proprioceptive training.

Ankle rehab: Proprioceptive training is excellent but if you can't get to those equipment you can start off with simple calf raises...Going up and down on your toes!
