Injection in disc: A discogram is a study that is done to determine if a disc is the source of your pain. A needle will be placed into the disc under x-ray guidance and an injection will be done under pressure. In a symptomatic disc this should reproduce your pain and in a normal disc it should not. I would only do this study if you are considering surgical treatment as it is not pleasant.
