Controversial: A discogram is a controversial procedure in the field of spinal surgery, particularly in the cervical spine. The discogram is a test and is definitely not a treaent itself for degenerative discs. There is even a small body of work that suggests that doing a discogram itself on a disc will hasten the degeneration of that disc. Thank you.
