4-6 weeks: The medication should begin healing the ulcer immediately and symptoms should resolve within a week. In general it takes about 6 weeks to heal an ulcer.

Peptic Ulcers: can take up to six weeks to cure with proton pump inhibitors such as pantoprazole. Hope this helps!
