A member asked:

Besides a prescription for protonix (pantoprazole) what else is there that will also help to heal stomach ulcers, when diagnosed by a doctor?

Gastric ulcer: in addition to taking the full course of protonix, (pantoprazole) it is important to avoid any other medicines which may contribute to ulcer formation. The most common are aspirin and NSAID's, such as ibuprofen and headache powders. In addition, your doctor should have checked for H. Pylori. If present, it will need to be treated. If your ulcer is in the stomach, a repeat endoscopy will be necessary. Good luck.
