Wait: Transitioning to being gluten free may take some time. The first few days, even weeks, you may feel pretty lousy. Even worse than before. For most people, but the end of the first month of being gluten free, symptoms are noticeable better. I would also suggest cutting sugar and other grains too if symptoms have not improved much.

Be patient: It takes a minimum of 3 weeks for your intestines to move through the process of initial repair. It can take more than the first year to get past accidental gluten exposures in products you never expect. You must read the ingredients on any processed food you consume. Seek out data on restaurant chains for their offerings. You may find odd non-gluten triggers like #40 red dye. A food diary helps.
