NonE: It is not at all clear there is a cause and effect between discomfort and the prescence of bulges on images many painless necks have bulges of their discs.

Multiple: Depending on the amount of pain being experienced, an antiinflammatory such as Ibuprofen (advil) can be used. A stronger antiinflammatory such as steroids can also be prescribed for severe pain. Muscle relaxers are also used for acute pain. Narcotic pain medications can be used for severe pain. There are no medications that will actually get rid of a "bulging" disc in the spine.
