Can take 1- 2 years: MRI's of the cervical spine show the current state of the the spinal elements as they change over time.Several of those changes such as uncovertebral joint hypertrophy are a response to gravity and changes in the disc. The disc herniations will do their best to heal slowly over time, however they are due to aging and degeneration with water loss.In the meantime continue PT and regular f/u w/your MD
