Tandem Disc Problems: Although unusual for symptoms to arise from the cervical and lumbar regions simultaneously, it is not unusual for degenerative changes to be present in multiple locations. Referable symptoms is the key as "abnormalities" at any level of the spine are often asymptomatic and part of normal aging. If one level of the spine has changes there is a slightly higher statistical chances for other areas.
