A member asked:

What are the effects of single ovary removal?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No major change: When one ovary is removed the remaining ovary increases it's hormone production to make up for the shortfall so any hormone changes will only be temporary (4-6 weeks at most). Pregnancy potential also is not affected. Removal of one ovary likely does not change cancer risk.
