Yes: Hepatitis a is transmitted by contact with stool, so it's extremely important that you wash your hands well after using the bathroom and before preparing food. If your children and other household contacts have not already been vaccinated, they should recieve either the vaccine (if 12 years old or older) or an injection of Immune Globulin (if under 12).
