Yes: A person with hepatitis b is still normal, but there are concerns. If the hepatitis is active and infectious, then there are considerations for monitoring the liver function and considerations for treatment of the baby to decrease the risk of transmission of the virus. Hepatitis b is not a contraindication for pregnancy.
