Mom-kid /exposures: The hepatitis b is a hardy germ that has been known to infect a person who was by stuck by a tainted needle left alone for a year. Babies can get if mom is infected during pregnancy or from blood product exposure at birth. Kids can get it when exposed to blood products from an infected person through a wound of any sort. Kids may show no symptoms during the process until they are near liver failur.
