Depends: If you are a diabetic, and you can't live without insulin, are you going to refuse it so you don't get addicted? Doctors don't prescribe medication to get you addicted, they prescribe it to help you. If you need the medication, then why do you want to refuse it? In general, pain medication and tranquilizers are more addicting than other medications. Discuss your concerns with your family doctor.
