A few examples: Antibody=protein your body makes to get rid off/attack a substance it considered foreign. Autoantibody refers to antiboby that is produced which attack its own body tissues. Famous example: rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, mixed connective tissue disease, autoimmune thyroiditis, type 1 diabetes, rheumatic heart disease, some nephropathies (kidney diseases) etc..Have fun learning.
