A member asked:

Is lumbar traction effective for a displaced vertebrae from disc degeneration?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes/no: I was trained using hospital based lumbar traction, it did very little to help disc disease in that by the time we applied enough traction to help the patient they were at the foot of the bed and no force applied.Modern traction (drx 9000) can apply your body weight to a specific disc segment and really make a difference. At your age please look into this treatment.
