Young for: Osteoarthritis, tylenol (acetaminophen) safest, hot moist packs followed by icing down area- try and stay away from nsaids(bad for stomach).

Tylenol is not an anti-inflammatory and will have no effect on swelling. It may help ease the discomfort however.
