What is the pap test sampling? cervix only, or also vagina?

Cervix: The pap test is designed to screen for cervical cancer. Most women who have had their cervix removed (with hysterectomy) do not need a pap test. However, women who have had cervical cancer or advanced pre-cancers of the cervix (cin ii and iii) do still need pap screening.
