A member asked:

Is hemorrhoids that bleed due to a bleeding disorder of some sort?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not at all!: The most common symptom for hemorrhoids is bleeding. Hemorrhoids are blood vessels that are designed to help control bowel function. In many people, the hemorrhoids get swollen, and since they are filled with blood they can bleed. People with bleeding disorders have a higher risk of hemorrhoidal bleeding. Either way, a high fiber diet is the first line therapy for hemorrhoids.
