A member asked:

Does thyroiditis have anything to do with loss of vocal range?

3 doctors weighed in across 2 answers

It can: Anything that causes the thyroid to grow rapidly can put too much pressure on the nerves that control the vocal cords, and make the voice sound hoarse, or weak. Inflammation from the thyroiditis can cause the thyroid to swell, and put pressure on these nerves, and cause hoarseness. However, there are several other, more common causes of hoarseness to consider as well.

Highly unlikely: Unless severly underactive thyroid blood tests.
