Hashimotos and thyroiditis and hair loss problems. are they related?

Endocrinology 47 years experience
Related : Untreated hypothyroidism, which can be caused by hashimoto's thyroiditis, can cause hair loss. This should improve once the thyroid hormone levels have been back to normal, but it won't be immediate because hair growth is a slow process.
