How do someone become a palliative care nurse?

It starts with being: A good nurse, with experience with patients and families caring for those with end-stage conditions: renal failure, heart failure, alzheimers or other chronic neurologic failure or cancers for which there are no more life extending options, and wanting to focus comfort, fulfilling wishes, and meaningful conversations.

Http://www.hpna.org/: If you are already a nurse, you may choose to work in the field of hospice, palliative care, home health, cancer care, etc. Additionally, once you have had a certain number of hours of practice, you may study to become certified in palliative care. Here is some more information: http://www.Hpna.Org/displaypage.Aspx?Title=certification%20preparation.
