A member asked:

Do you need a referral from your primary care doctor to see a gynecologist for your pap smear?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Usually not: It can vary based on your insurance plan. A lot of patients use their OB as their primary care doctor. The reverse is true as well. A lot of primary care docs do routine pap smears.
