Anyone know if dvt and intermittent claudication are related?

DVT vs ischemia: Dvt is formation of clot in veins, which are responsible for returning blood back to the heart. Claudication is pain associated with decreased blood flow to tissue, arising commonly from narrowing of the small arteries that deliver blood/oxygen from the heart. Both are related to blood vessels, one being a vein the other being an artery.

DVT and arteries.: There is no relationship between DVT and arterial intermittent claudication. However, there is also venous claudication which can occur form occlusion of the deep veins due to prior DVT or even trauma. The longer and larger the vein involved the more significant could be the symptoms. Venous claudication is not common but when it occurs, it is very symptomatic.
