??rough time??: Infants can often seem to grunt & groan continuously & we sometimes assume it must be a problem. They are not gifted with muscle tone & gravity and must push a stool out using their breathing muscle until their muscles strengthen with age. Bf newborns can make a little poo every feed or overflow a diaper once a week.If stools are soft & they are thriving i think they are doing fine.

Sounds normal: Breast fed babies have a wide variety of stooling patterns and often strain to move their bowels. They can have 7 in one day and 1 in 7 days. Quite a variance and it is all normal.
