A member asked:

Why does the skin on my newborn's head and face turn red while he's nursing?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Erythema: The top of a baby's head is where they generate the most heat and has a large body service area compared to an older child. It is certainly appropriate for you to notice redness or warmth when your baby is nursing.
