Generally no: Halos and glare can be worse after LASIk if the patient has significant dry eyes or early lens changes. With modern wavefront treatments, haloes and glare are less common in the early post procedure period and generally go away. Usually they are no worse than before LASIK in many cases of previous astigmatism, symptoms are better.
