Are halos and night glares worse after lasik?

Not typically: Older lasik tratments occasionally caused glare and halos at night (although not usually worse than what one would have experienced with contact lenses). Newer treatments significantly decrease the risk of these annoying symptoms. Just remember, lasik is meant to decrease your need for glasses, and may not necessarily decrease the amount of nighttime glare that you experience.

Rarely: Glare and haloes increase a little for the first month after lasik surgery but should return back to normal as you heal. Glare and haloes may increase rarely but most patients no change or improvement.
