Rarely: It can go either way. Most patients notice no change or an improvement. A few patients notice worsening which usually gets better after a few months.

No: That was the problem years ago with the original lasers. I have done 150, 000 refractive cases and rarely do I hear of it. If there is residual glare, there usually is an error that has not been corrected. Occasionally there is a star burst at night, caused by a slightly irregular cornea it can be corrected with the newly approved topography driven lasers, that smoothe the cornea.

Halos, glare ; LASIK: One of the side effects pts are always warned about is the possibility that glare ; halos could be worse after lasik. But with modern lasers ; software--with larger ablation zones, blend zones ; hoa txs that we didn't use to have back in the 1990s, today this complaint persisting after sufficient healing time is quite rare in my practice. Dry eyes ; residual refraction are treatable causes too.
