May be related: Kidney stones can block the flow of urine from your kidneys to your bladder . When this happens, the urine that backs up is more likely to become infected. This may have been the cause of your bladder infection but the two events may be unrelated. Please mention this to your doctor. Based on the rest of your exam, the left kidney may need to be evaluated to make sure that it is working properly.
