See below: Asthma is loud wheezing and difficulty with breathing.. Bronchitis is inflammation of the bronchial tubes. There is a certain amount of overlap.

Difference...: Asthma is characterized by acute, recurrent episodes of reversible bronchospasm and airway inflammation whereas in chronic bronchitis, the airway obstruction is chronic and not fully reversible.
