Need advice on what is the the difference between asthma and bronchitis?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Asthma vs bronchitis: Asthma is a chronic disease that is the result of inflammation in the airways of the lungs. It can be worsened by a number of triggers, and the disease is managed with medications that control the inflammation and open the airways. Bronchitis is another disease of airway inflammation, but it is usually short-lived and the result of a virus. It can also be chronic due to smoking - aka copd.
